The Opportunity:

The Associate Manager, Digital Marketing will support the development and execution of a social-first brand strategy, helping shape how the brand shows up across platforms, communities, and culture. This role partners closely with the Manager/Director to bring the brand vision to life, with a focus on driving cultural relevance, audience engagement, and growth through social, creator, and digital ecosystems.

This individual will play a key role in translating brand strategy into compelling social and integrated campaigns, ensuring the brand is actively participating in culture. They will bring strong knowledge of social platforms, creator partnerships, and emerging digital behaviors, with the ability to turn insights into engaging content and community experiences.

The Associate Manager will support day-to-day social strategy and execution, from monitoring trends and contributing to campaign development to activating programs and tracking performance. They will collaborate with Mattel's Inter Agency Team (IAT) and help manage social, influencer, and creative agency partners to deliver impactful, culturally relevant work.

A collaborative and proactive team player, this individual is both strategic and hands-on, comfortable contributing ideas while driving execution in a fast-paced environment.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Social & Brand Strategy Support

  • Support the development of a social-first brand strategy, ensuring consistency across platforms
  • Monitor cultural trends, social behaviors, and creator/influencer dynamics to inform content and campaigns
  • Contribute to defining the brand's voice, tone, and storytelling approach across social channels
  • Help maintain social and content guidelines to ensure consistency while enabling creative flexibility
  • Partner with Toy, Franchise, and Studio teams to incorporate social thinking into product, content, and launch strategies
  • Support cross-functional alignment to ensure social is integrated into broader marketing efforts

Social Activation & Execution

  • Support end-to-end social campaign execution, from concept through launch and optimization
  • Assist in the development and execution of always-on and tentpole social strategies, including key cultural moments and launches
  • Partner with Influencer team to support creator and influencer programs, including research, briefing, and coordination
  • Help oversee the creation of platform-native content designed to drive engagement and participation
  • Collaborate with creative and production teams to deliver high-quality, social-first assets
  • Coordinate with regional teams to help ensure global strategies are effectively localized

Performance & Optimization

  • Track social KPIs (engagement, reach, sentiment, creator performance, conversion) and compile performance reports
  • Analyze campaign results and provide insights to support optimization and future planning
  • Monitor brand health through social listening and community engagement
  • Identify opportunities to improve content effectiveness and platform performance

What We're Looking For:

  • 5 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on social, digital, and/or influencer marketing.
  • Experience creating social campaigns and executing across platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) and content trends.
  • Familiarity with influencer/creator partnerships and campaign coordination.
  • Understanding of social analytics and performance metrics.
  • Ability to translate insights into creative ideas and content recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for culture, entertainment, and storytelling, with a pulse on emerging trends.
  • Demonstrated agrowth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
