Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant (PA-C) delivers high-quality primary care and cardiology services under physician supervision. This role includes patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, hospital rounding, and clinical documentation, ensuring continuity of care across the healthcare continuum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services, including patient history, physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Perform outpatient clinic visits, including new patient evaluations and follow-up care
  • Conduct hospital rounding, manage inpatient care, and evaluate new consults
  • Complete and document History & Physicals (H&Ps), progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, lab results, and imaging studies
  • Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) documentation
  • Coordinate patient care plans and ensure continuity of care across settings
  • Respond to physician calls/pages and support patient care during procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Deliver patient-centered care, building strong relationships with patients and families
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, clinical protocols, and hospital policies
  • Maintain flexible scheduling, including potential extended hours and rotating shifts

Qualifications

  • Licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of Oklahoma (or eligible)
  • Experience in cardiology, primary care, or hospital medicine preferred
  • Strong skills in clinical assessment, patient management, and medical documentation
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems
  • Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Current BLS certification required.
