The Managing Director, Healthcare Logistics Design & Vendor Management will serve as the strategic and operational leader for a newly established division dedicated to expanding the company's footprint in the global healthcare logistics market. This executive will define the long term vision to enable commercial growth, and ensure operational excellence across a highly regulated, temperature sensitive supply chain environment.

Key responsibilities include overseeing global healthcare shipment control; architecting a best-in-class value added services network; advancing thermal engineering, analytics, and digital visibility capabilities; and leading vendor strategy. The role will also evaluate alternative business models to accelerate capability expansion and market penetration.

Success in this position requires deep healthcare logistics expertise, strong commercial, operational and technical acumen, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while shaping a scalable, compliant, and innovation driven operating model

Essential Duties

  • Define and execute the longterm strategy for the Healthcare division, aligning with enterprise goals and healthcare market opportunities.
  • Build and lead a global, multidisciplinary team across Healthcare engineering, operations, & digital thermal analytics to deliver temperature-controlled customer requirements and reporting.
  • Lead vendor sourced thermal packaging strategies and solutions.
  • Leverage data and customer trends to find ways to optimize the company's performance.
  • Drives vendor performance by ensuring strict adherence to SLA requirements, maintaining full fiscal and contractual compliance, and optimizing cost efficiency across all service agreements.
  • Perform continuous evaluations of vendors for potential in-sourced FedEx capabilities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate M&A opportunities that expand healthcare capabilities, geographic reach, or technology platforms.
  • Ensure postacquisition integration supports regulatory compliance, operational continuity, and customer commitments.
  • Build a global operating model that supports pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotech, and clinical trial logistics.
  • Collaborates with the Quality team to for audits, certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement governance frameworks to manage operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Partner with Corporate Development, Legal, Finance, Aircraft Operations, Planning & Engineering, and Ground support equipment to assess strategic fit, synergy potential, and integration risks.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customercentricity.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business, or related field.

Minimum Experience

  • 8 years of leadership experience in healthcare logistics, supply chain, or related industries.
  • Proven track record leading global operations and crossfunctional teams.
  • Experience with temperaturecontrolled logistics, cold chain engineering, or pharma distribution.
  • Demonstrated success in M&A strategy, due diligence, and integration.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Expertise in commercial strategy, cost and solutions design for large enterprise clients.

Preferred Qualifications: This position is eligible for telecommuting and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories.
