Seal is currently seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to join our
team in Warren, RI.
The Engineering
Technician is responsible for supporting various design engineering and
manufacturing engineering projects as designated by engineering management.
This role will assist in the testing and qualification of new or modified
designs or processes. The Engineering Technician will perform light-duty design
work, support process documentation writing, execute Engineering Change Notices
(ECN), etc. The Engineering Technician works cross-collaboratively with
engineering and operations and provides technical support as needed while
working under the supervision of higher-level engineers and technicians.

Essential Functions:
- Provides engineering and manufacturing project support.
- Interacts with internal departments, customers, and suppliers as required.
- Supports the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Supports product testing such as magnetic attraction force, vacuum, pressure, or other tests.
- Supports the design of tooling or fixtures for manufacturing, testing, and assembly areas.
- Creates and executes ECNs or Production Change Notices (PCN).
- Participates in lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Works with design engineers on 3D Modelling and drawing creation.
- Works with design engineers in R&D lab assisting with test preparation, operation of the test rigs, and data collection.
- Responsible for storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use of this information or documentation.
- Support all visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUI information, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access by informing management immediately of any concerns.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in employee's work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and acceptable attendance is an essential function of this job.

Required
Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Candidate should be in process of pursuing a technical or engineering degree.
Physical
Requirements:
- Able to stand and walk frequently.
- Able to sit continuously.
- Must be able to squat and kneel occasionally.
- Must be able to reach outward and reach above shoulder occasionally.
- Must be able to use fine manipulation frequently.
- Able to handle and grasp tools/equipment and products as needed.
- Able to read and write in English
- Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
- Visual Acuity - Able to see close detail, distance and colors as needed.
- May come into contact with chemicals.
Work Environment
and Safety Equipment Required:
- Office environment and light manufacturing environment.
- Able to work onsite per business needs and per employee's standard hours.
- Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Ability to travel
occasionally.
ITAR/EAR Compliance:
This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware,
and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export control
laws and regulation. As such, U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident
status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or the ability to
meet ITAR and EAR requirements is required.
