Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $128,084 - $169,711. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Production Operations? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Lean Six Sigma department. As a Manager-Lean Six Sigma, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

The Manager Lean Six Sigma is responsible for leading the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma strategy and driving improvement within an assigned S&C Business Value Stream. This role focuses on improving productivity, enhancing quality and building problem-solving capabilities across the organization by applying proven continuous improvement methodologies. It provides input on process improvement project work within the value stream and ensures consistent application of Lean and Six Sigma principles.

This leader combines Lean system design with Six Sigma tools to address complex and operational challenges. They establish practical standards for production, process improvement and problem-solving while equipping leaders and teams with the skills and resources needed to sustain improvements over time.

In addition to managing high-impact projects, the Manger works closely with functional teams and other team members to ensure consistent application of Lean and Six Sigma practices. The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to influence at multiple levels and a focus on achieving results through collaboration and process discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Lean & Six Sigma Strategy: Support and promote the execution of a unified Lean and Six Sigma strategy aligned with S&C's operational and business objectives. Define the enterprise framework for operational excellence by integrating Lean system design with Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and elevate quality.
  • Training, Coaching & Capability Building: Serve as the experience mentor in Lean and Six Sigma. Build organizational capability by coaching Black Belts, Green Belts and Senior Leaders. Develop and deliver training that strengthens problem-solving skills, supports leadership development and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Leadership of High-Impact Projects:Identify, lead and govern strategic projects with measurable impact on cost, quality, and performance. Apply advanced problem-solving and Lean Six Sigma tools to address root causes of business-critical issues. Drive efforts to reduce the cost of poor quality and optimize operational processes.
  • Strategic Implementation: Support, promote and follow a phased roadmap for Lean and Six Sigma implementation. Ensure alignment between foundational tools and advanced initiatives to promote sustainable improvements and long-term business transformation.
  • Process & System Improvement: Conduct in-depth process assessments and partner with business unit functional leaders to implement improvements using practices such as DMAIC or Kaizen facilitation. Embed new practices into standard operating procedures to ensure sustained performance and scalable outcomes.
  • Change Management & Organizational Alignment: Lead Value Stream level change management as a core function of the role. Engage senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure understanding, ownership and adoption of Lean and Six Sigma initiatives. Communicate changes with clarity and consistency to build alignment, reduce resistance and enable smooth transitions across the business.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Use statistical methods and performance data to identify trends, measure project effectiveness, and uncover opportunities for improvement. Prepare and present clear, actionable reports and insights to senior leadership. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure that improvement goals are met and sustained.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Serve as a trusted advisor and change agent. Build strong relationships across functions, communicate complex in practical terms, and foster collaboration to accelerate adoption and results.
  • Compliance and Standardization: UEnsure all Lean and Six Sigma efforts comly with policies, brand standards and relevant regulations. Drive consistency in tools, training and governance across the organization to support enterprise-wide implementation.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

Required

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing with at least 5 years of experience managing continuous improvement.
  • Excellent financial acumen and numerical ability to manage budgetary resources to maximum effectiveness.
  • Portfolio of completed process improvement application projects work with multi-million dollar accumulated savings, completed in large organizations with annual revenues of at least $250M.
  • Proven experience in assessing processes and developing continuous improvement plans, aligning with organizational objectives, and ensuring budgetary alignment to optimize resources and drive results.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to lead, guide, motivate and delegate to deliver results, build teams and capabilities, embrace change, drive decisions and results, embrace culture and inclusion and exhibit integrity.
  • Demonstrated success coaching and mentoring others to learn and apply both Lean Six Sigma concepts, tools and practices.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Solid business acumen, entrepreneurial approach, and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve complex issues, and leverage data and learnings to drive improvement and profitable growth.
  • Good communication skills, (written, verbal, listening, and presentation) able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and all levels with Business Unit Leadership to shop floor team members being creative and persuasive in communicating and influencing outcomes, and able to successfully lead strategic planning discussions and present to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to recommend appropriate tools and resolutions to the problem at hand, without recommending solutions that are overly complicated or costly when a simpler solution would be more appropriate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect with stakeholders up to the Business Unit Leadership level navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning and project management skills, creatively problem-solving manufacturing and supply chain related issues and juggling a heavy volume of diverse strategic projects.
