Job Summary:

The Partner Market Leader, Advisory (Managing Director) owns or supports strategic alliances end-to-end to accelerate Advisory growth. This role sets go-to-market direction, builds and manages the Joint Business Plan (JBP), and drives measurable partnership performance across pipeline, revenue, readiness, and partner satisfaction. The role orchestrates cross-practice execution, establishes enablement expectations, and ensures alignment to BDO priorities, priority industries and solutions, geographic focus, and investment plans. The Partner Leader maintains executive relationships with partner leadership, represents BDO in governance forums such as QBRs/EBRs, negotiates and prioritizes partner investments, and secures partner resources to support joint initiatives. The role ensures compliance with independence, risk, branding, and data-sharing requirements.

Job Duties:



  • Develops partnership strategies aligned to BDO Advisory priorities and growth objectives
  • Builds, maintains, or governs Joint Business Plans including objectives, pipeline targets, priority industries and solutions, geographic focus, and investment plans
  • Identifies, defines, and supports flagship plays with clear value propositions and field-ready messaging
  • Orchestrates execution across BDO practices and service lines to align with partnership strategy and deliver joint outcomes
  • Establishes partnership enablement expectations including required certifications, competencies, and readiness standards
  • Maintains executive relationships with partner leadership and represent BDO in QBRs, EBRs, and partner governance forums
  • Negotiates, prioritizes, and tracks partner investments to maximize joint return and strategic impact
  • Secure partner resources such as speakers, solution architects, and technical specialists to support campaigns and opportunities
  • Ensures partner program compliance and adherence to governance requirements
  • Ensures compliance with independence, risk management, branding, and data-sharing policies and procedures
  • Manages performance accountability across KPIs including partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue, pipeline coverage, win rate, JBP milestones, action closure, and partner satisfaction
  • Collaborates with BDO partner teams, practice leaders, and sales leadership to drive demand generation and opportunity progression
  • Travel is required as dictated by business needs
  • Other duties as required


Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Leads a cross-functional virtual team across BDO practices and service lines to execute the partnership strategy and Joint Business Plan
  • Defines and documents v-team roles, responsibilities, governance cadence, and decision rights
  • Establishes operating rhythms for pipeline reviews, flagship play execution, enablement tracking, and QBR/EBR preparation
  • Coordinates resource plans and secures internal and partner resources to meet joint objectives
  • Drives accountability for commitments, milestones, and action-item closure across stakeholders
  • Monitors progress against partnership KPIs and escalates risks, dependencies, and constraints to Advisory and sales leadership
  • Aligns enablement expectations across stakeholders including required certifications, competencies, and readiness standards
  • Prepares for future people leadership responsibilities by identifying resourcing needs, proposing team structure, and supporting hiring justification as the partnership scales


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), preferred


Experience:



  • Twelve (12) or more years of experience in alliances, strategic partnerships, business development, go-to-market leadership, or advisory consulting, required
  • Five (5) or more years of experience leading partner strategy, joint business planning, and executive governance (Ex. QBR/EBR cadence), required
  • Fiver (5) or more years experience to set GTM direction, define packaged offerings, and translate strategy into measurable execution plans, required
  • Five (5) years of experience driving measurable pipeline and revenue targets in a professional services environment, preferred
  • Three (3) years of experience negotiating partner investments and structuring co-sell and co-marketing motions, preferred


Software:



  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Dynamics), required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required


Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:



  • Advanced executive presence with ability to lead C-level discussions and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, and investment prioritization skills
  • Strong knowledge of partnership governance, compliance expectations, and risk-aware decision making
  • Ability to establish operating rhythms, KPI dashboards, and accountability mechanisms across stakeholders
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities across practices with clear decision rights and escalation paths
  • Excellent written communication skills for executive updates, JBP documentation, and governance readouts

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $200,000 - $250,000 Maryland Range: $200,000 - $250,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $200,000 - $250,000
