Cloud Solution Architect-Security

Microsoft Federal is looking for individuals passionate about driving security solutions and outcomes that enable mission-critical work for the U.S. Federal Government. Ideal candidates for this role will meet the following.

• Land an end-to-end value prop for Security (i.e.Zero Trust, Modern Security Operations Center (SOC), Cloud Adoption, and Digital Transformation) which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings.

• Empower customers in their Microsoft Security adoption journey, helping them to define a secure strategy, architecture, and implementation of necessary security controls aligned with Microsoft Azure and M365 E5 Security/Compliance Services including ID and Access management, Threat Protection, Cloud Security, Information Protection and Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Management.

• Perform hands-on activities, supporting the customer in evaluating native security solutions in areas such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Azure Active Directory, among others.

• Apply technical knowledge to architect security solutions that meet business, Information Technology, Regulation and Compliance needs, infusing key security technologies whereappropriate.

• Ensure that the solution exhibits "Secure by Design" or "Well-Architected" framework, such as high-performance levels, security, scalability, maintainability,appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.

• Run Architectural Design Session to buildplanfor implementing solution - governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment.The outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.

• Be the Voice of the Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the roadmap.

• Troubleshoot technical issues to prove the value of implementation ofMicrosoft Securitytechnologies.

• Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.

• Orchestrate technical resources that may berequiredto deliver business outcomes.

Travel is an integral part of this position. You should be willing to travel as is demanded by the needs of our customers and our business.
This position requires approximately50% overnight travel if youresideor are willing torelocatewithin commuting distance to the work.
This position may require up to 75% overnight travel if you are not within commuting distance towork.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field

• 2+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:
This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions whererequiredorpermittedby applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Security Clearance.
• The technical aptitude and experience of learning new cloud security technologies and understanding relevant cloud security market trends.
• Competitive Landscape: Knowledge of cloud security platforms and competitors.
• Technical preference for Cloud Security:
  • Technical experience designing, architecting, and implementing cloud security solutions that meet business IT, and regulatory requirements. This includes experience with cloud-native security controls, threat detection and response platforms, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems that meet business, Information Technology (IT), and regulatory needs. Candidates should also have skills in cloud infrastructure security architecture and secure deployment practices and integration of security technologies across a multi-cloud environment.

• Certification in one or more of the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies (AZ-500, SC-200, MS-500, SC-100), CompTIA Security+, CCNA-Security, CISSP, CCSP, GIAC-GCLD, GIAC-GSEC.
