Full Time with Benefits, Sunday - Thursday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Summary:

The Life Enrichment Assistant supports the planning and delivery of programs that promote residents' social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being. This role helps coordinate activities, assists residents during programs and outings, and fosters a positive, inclusive community experience.

Detailed responsibilities:
* Life Enrichment Assistant

  • Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction
  • Assists with the coordination of resident and outside community member volunteers needed for Life Enrichment programming
  • Implement programs to meet the residents' individual needs, interests, and abilities, individually and through community participation.
  • Assists in making provisions for materials and supplies. Maintains an inventory sufficient to complete activities as needed.
  • Prepares and posts a calendar of activities. Continuously communicates with residents and family members regarding activities and information.
  • Assists with assessments and maintains up-to-date records, plans, reports, and evaluations of the program and resident participation and functioning.
  • Assists with conducting activities and/or participates in activities while remaining engaged during the activity.
  • Assist in scheduling and confirming locations and transportation for outings. Contacts and coordinates with outside vendors or groups as needed.
  • Assists in providing direction to volunteers and vendors as directed by the Director of Life Enrichment.
  • Recognizes and reports concerns regarding residents' physical, mental, and/or emotional status to management.
  • Works closely with all departments associated with activity programs
  • Assists with the timely placement of appropriate seasonal decor
  • Assists in the active collaboration with outside community organizations
  • Assists with the coordination of all on and off campus events which may require transportation
  • Is able to operate the appropriate technical equipment necessary to running a comprehensive activities program
  • Is able to assist with administrative duties including the operation of common office equipment
  • Is fiscally responsible for operating within the departmental budget
  • Follows department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques and participate in campus-wide safety programs
  • Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner Wears PPE/safety equipment as required for the job Reports any safety hazards and/or accidents to supervisor
  • Attends all mandatory meetings and in-services as required by the manager
  • Front Porch is committed to the prevention of accidents by providing equipment with safeguards, personal safety equipment on jobs which require it, and adequate safety instructions to all employees
  • All employees are required to follow safe work habits in order to prevent injuries to themselves, residents, visitors or other employees
Competencies and skills:

Essential:
Communication/Interpersonal: *Effective oral and written communication skills appropriate to the audience's needs. *Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations live via online or virtual mediums.

Decision Making/Organization Skills: *Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure. *Excellent organizational skills. *Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.

Productivity: *Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills. *Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:

Essential:
* 1 year college or technical school

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
* 6 months in relative work environment
