As a Laboratory Technician, you'll provide technical support to quality and process control, environmental monitoring, and process development.

What you'll do:

  • Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and apparatus; prepares solutions, reagents and sample formulations.
  • Compiles, records and interprets experimental or analytical results.
  • Provides chemical technical support for waste water treatment.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Carries out other duties as assigned.
  • Prepares process control specimens for production personnel per Laboratory Standard Operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 or more years of experience in operating specialized equipment, including microscopes, spectrometers and hardness testers
  • 1 or more experience in performing failure analysis and material characterization.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of laboratory software.
  • Prior or current testing experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment
  • Prior or current CCL (Central Coating Laboratory ) specialized training or certification.
  • Willingness to learn and be receptive to continuous improvement through OJT and external educational opportunities.
  • Good organizational, analytical, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
