AGE Solutions is seeking an AV /VTC Engineer Lead to join us in support of our DoD customer. This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for the design, architecture, integration, and lifecycle management of Audio Visual (AV), Video Telepresence (VTC), Digital Signage (DS), and IPTV systems within secure enterprise environments.

This position is based on-site in Battle Creek, MI. Occasional travel within and outside the United States may be required (CONUS/OCONUS).

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in developing technical requirement solutions for AV/VTC/DS/IPTV products and services, including the design and engineering of AV/VTC/DS/IPTV systems, including architecture development, system specifications, and integration strategies.
  • Engineer, configure, integrate, and install complex AV / VTC system components including rack builds, signal flow, control systems, and networked AV solutions across the enterprise environment.
  • Own end-to-end system lifecycle: design, deployment, optimization, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across hardware, software, and network layers.
  • Provide expert analysis and guidance on IT / technical solutions supporting AV and collaboration technologies such as Crestron, Cisco, Biamp, Extron, and AMX.
  • Provide engineering-driven recommendations based on system performance, scalability, and mission requirements.
  • Support secure and dual-classification Video Conferencing solutions in compliance with DoD standards.
  • Lead technical reviews, testing, and validation of system performance and compliance.
  • Develop technical standards, design patterns, and best practices to drive consistency and scalability.


Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with AV/VTC/DS/IPTV systems in enterprise or DoD environments.
  • DoD Top Secret clearance (required)
  • One of the following certifications:


    • AMX Technician (Networked AV) Certification
    • Crestron CTI Technician Track Certification
    • AVIXA CTS Certification


  • Demonstrated engineering expertise with:


    • Crestron control systems and programming concepts
    • Cisco collaboration technologies (e.g., codecs, call control, network integration)
    • Biamp / AMX / Extron AV systems


  • Experience with Visio, CAD or basic PDF editing.
  • Ability to design, build, and troubleshoot complex AV/VTC systems.
  • Understanding of signal flow, networked AV, and control system integration
  • Ability to research, evaluate, and collaborate with vendors to support technical problem resolution.
  • Ability to provide accurate technical recommendations and expert analysis on IT solutions.
  • Experience performing system-level troubleshooting, testing, and performance tuning
  • Ability to independently translate requirements into engineered solutions, including system architecture and implementation plans
  • Ability to support forecasting and planning efforts using industry best practices.


Compensation: $70k+
