Job Description




As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Sarasota, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will spend much of your shift driving and conducting routine patrols, staying highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while providing top-tier customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public resources as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unusual conditions, and complete required activity logs and/or incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Support orderly operations by providing directions and information, assisting with queue and/or crowd management when needed, and promptly communicating concerns to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
