Job Description




As a Armed Security Officer - Transit Site Vehicle Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as they arise, and communicate clearly with the public and site contacts while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transit location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes, documenting unusual activity and helping to deter prohibited behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with local law enforcement and/or public agency personnel as needed.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entry points, and screening for prohibited items in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations via radio and/or phone, and maintain required equipment and duty gear in accordance with Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Baton permit is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
