Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Boston, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will conduct routine foot and mobile patrols, stay highly visible, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will greet employees and visitors, provide clear communication, and help to reduce incidents through professional presence. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, backed by Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture and integrity-driven teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, loading docks, production-adjacent spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
  • Control access by verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing traffic flow for employees, vendors, and deliveries as required.
  • Complete security-related reports such as patrol logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations to the supervisor and/or client representatives in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have CPR certification, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
