Marketing Automation Specialist (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) Key Skills (MustHave) * SFMC Campaign & Journey Development (3-5 yrs) * Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio * Multichannel orchestration (email/SMS), QA/testing, scheduling, throttling * AMPscript + dynamic content personalization * Data Extensions & SQL Segmentation * Building/managing Data Extensions * Audience segmentation with SQL (filters, suppressions, reporting queries) * Automation workflows for data refresh + segmentation * Personalization, Deliverability & Performance Optimization * AMPscript personalization * Deliverability best practices (list hygiene, sender reputation, engagement targeting) * Performance optimization & A/B testing Preferred Skills * SFMC certifications * Experience integrating SFMC with CRM * HTML/CSS for email troubleshooting * API familiarity a plus Role Overview Responsible for building, executing, and optimizing multichannel campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Serves as the link between marketing strategy and technical implementation, ensuring accurate, personalized, and highperforming customer communications. Core Responsibilities Campaign & Journey Execution * Build and deploy email/SMS journeys and automations * Create personalized/dynamic content (AMPscript, Content Builder) * Manage segmentation, scheduling, throttling, QA, and launch processes Platform Administration * User/role management, business units, sender profiles * Maintain data extensions, contact model, configuration * Ensure system performance, troubleshooting, release management Data & Analytics * Build segments via filters + SQL * Maintain automated data imports and workflows * Create reporting dashboards/KPIs; use insights to optimize campaigns Stakeholder Collaboration * Gather requirements, define audiences, align to goals * Advise on best practices and technical feasibility Governance & Compliance * Ensure compliance with CANSPAM, TCPA, GDPR/CCPA * Maintain preference centers, naming conventions, QA processes * Document workflows and support training for marketing users Continuous Improvement * Stay current on SFMC releases and MarTech trends * Pilot advanced personalization, new features, or channels Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
