Job Requirements

The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving Fearless' long-term growth, market expansion, and revenue generation within the government digital services space. This role leads the identification, shaping, and capture of new business opportunities while expanding existing markets and increasing overall market share. As a senior leader within the Business Development function, this role develops and executes growth and capture strategies, builds trusted relationships with government customers and industry partners, and collaborates across Programs, Services, Finance, and executive leadership to deliver sustainable, profitable growth. The direct outcome of this role is measurable, significant revenue growth aligned with Fearless' mission to deliver a digital services transformation for government customers.

The Impact You Will Create:

  • Drives measurable revenue growth through the successful capture and execution of new and expanded government business opportunities.
  • Strengthens Fearless' long-term market positioning by developing and executing aligned growth and capture strategies.
  • Improves capture win rates and pipeline health through disciplined business intelligence, solutioning, and proposal leadership.
  • Enables scalable and sustainable growth by aligning pricing, staffing, and solution strategies with financial and delivery objectives.
  • Builds organizational capability by mentoring and leading Business Development team members toward consistent capture and growth outcomes.

Your Responsibilities in This Role:

  • Support the development of and lead the execution of Fearless' growth strategy aligned to organizational objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, shape, and win new business opportunities in support of revenue and market growth goals.
  • Shape and streamline Business Development and capture processes to support long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor Business Development team members, holding them accountable to capture, growth, and revenue metrics.
  • Oversee solutioning and proposal development efforts across the capture lifecycle.
  • Independently develop and execute capture and solutioning strategies in collaboration with the Chief Sales Officer, Business Unit Directors, and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate across Programs, Services, Finance, and leadership to align value propositions, staffing strategies, pricing models, and solution approaches.
  • Provide regular (quarterly and ad hoc) updates on Business Development performance against strategic objectives.
  • Engage directly with government customers to support problem discovery, solution definition, and opportunity shaping.
  • Collect and analyze business intelligence, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Lead strategic capture efforts across the full Business Development lifecycle.

Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in Business, Technology, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relavent experience is required.
  • Existing portfolio of government customers with budget authority and buying influence.
  • Demonstrated experience in federal business development, capture, and proposal leadership.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. federal procurement processes and contracting environments.
  • Proven ability to develop capture strategies, solution architectures, staffing models, and pricing strategies within customer budget constraints.
  • Expert interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with government and industry partners.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical and business information into clear strategies and value propositions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding teams toward capture and revenue outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and drive outcomes in fast-paced environments.
  • Deep understanding of Digital Services, Systems Integration, and IT Management practices.
  • Experience delivering digital services and systems integration solutions to government customers.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams to achieve growth goals and executing pipeline strategies.
  • Senior-level experience in federal Business Development, capture management, and growth strategy leadership.
  • Demonstrated history of successful revenue growth and capture execution in the government contracting space.
  • Existing relationships with federal government contractors and ecosystem partners.
  • Experience aligning staffing, pricing, and delivery strategies with financial and operational goals.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds).

The salary range for this position is:

Minimum Salary: $146,437

Salary Midpoint: $194,028

Maximum Salary: $241,620

Hiring Range for Role: $146,437 - $200,000

*This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance criteria.
