What you will enjoy doing*
- In this role, you will report to the Associate Tax Director, US Federal Compliance and
Reporting, and will help manage US Federal income tax return filings and related income tax accounting for US GAAP and assist in managing the team - You will be the primary reviewer of the US Federal income tax returns (1120, 1065, etc.)
- Prepare quarterly estimate Federal income tax calculations, payments, etc.
- Prepare and review the US federal income tax accounting under ASC 740 on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- You will manage the review and responses to notices and requests for audit on the Federal level
- You should have awareness of on-going US legislative changes and lead the efforts around evaluating the impact on the Company's US federal income tax liability
- Assist in preparing and presenting executive summaries for and to Senior Executives
- Identify opportunities to drive process improvements, including automation, into the compliance process to ensure greater accuracy and efficiency
- Manage and develop a team of 4-5 tax professionals
What makes you great
- You have a Bachelor's degree plus six to eight or more (6-8+) years of experience with corporate US federal income tax, including experience with U.S. R&D Credit, Consolidated federal income tax returns, Share-based compensation arrangements and executive compensation limitations, Fixed assets, and ASC 740 US GAAP tax accounting knowledge and skills
- CPA is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
- Additionally, you have strong project management skills
- Experience managing compliance projects and in managing individuals or a small team
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Systems experience with Hyperion, CORE, SAP, JDE, CORPTAX (U.S. compliance) preferred
- Also, experience with process improvement / automation is preferred
