Where you will work: This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is open to any Compeer office location inIllinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The contributions you will make:

This positionis responsible forpartnering with leadership and stakeholders toidentifyand assess risk and controls for credit. You will complete highly complexloanreviews to evaluate credit quality and administration toidentifyand mitigate risk.Ensures the organization adheres to internal policies and procedures, Federal and State lending regulations, business plans, andmaintainssound fiscal operations. Provides guidance and mentorship toless experiencedteam members andconsultation to leadership and key management partners.

A typical day:

Credit Review



  • Assistsinestablishing,implementingandmonitoringan internal audit program to ensure a satisfactory internal control system for administration of credit, financial services, financialoperationsand administrative functions in the organization.
  • Conducts loan file reviews of credit administrationwith a focus on complex loans.
  • Assesses loan file documentation, credit approval process, loan policy and procedures, analysis of financial information, assigned risk rating and credit classification, analysis of financial information, assigned risk rating and credit classification, analysis and monitoring of collateral, assigned collateral loss grade, approved terms and conditions, loan system coding, and ongoing monitoring and collection, including service plans.
  • Participates in financial/operations audits asrequested.
  • Reviews various Compeer internal functions for proper administration and documentation.
  • Serves as a resource to field team membersregardingpolicies and procedures.
  • Participates in planning and leading Internal Credit Reviews.
  • Determinesand makes clear recommendations on the scope of reviewsin conjunction withinternalcredit review leadership.
  • Buildsrelationships with key leadership and managementbynetworking, seeking input on keydecisionsandencouragingcomments and feedback during meetings.
  • Leads special projects as requested byCredit Review leadership.


Report Preparation



  • Drafts and distributes written and verbal reports to management toassistwithevaluatingifthe organization is compliantwith FCA,AgriBank, and Compeer policies,proceduresand regulations.
  • Provides management with written and verbal reports on performance standards in credit administration,classificationconcurrence, etc.
  • Assistsin presenting resultstothe Audit and Finance Committee.


Risk Assessment and Planning



  • Provides input andassistsCredit Review leadership with assessing portfolio risk and developing an annual plan while gaining insight fromCreditleadership and management.
  • Assistsin presenting the results to the Audit and Finance Committee.


The skills and experience we prefer you have:



  • Bachelor's degree infinance, accounting, business administration or related field ORan equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Expert-level related work experienceinloan review, creditanalysisandcreditunderwriting in a Financial Institution.
  • Specialized training increditanalysis,preferred.
  • Expertknowledge of applicable Federal and State laws,rulesand regulationsregardingcredit extension.
  • Advancedanalytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertunderstanding of credit and collateral risk, internal controls, and accounting principles.
  • Expertunderstanding of FCA Regulations, AgriBank policies, Compeer policies,proceduresand classification systems.
  • Ability to work independently, with proven skills in leadership and organization.
  • Advanced auditing and reporting skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Advancedproblem solving, decisionmakingand organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

$105,700 $142,900 USD
