As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support associates and shoppers with calm, helpful communication. You will document observations, respond to issues as they arise, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, always acting with integrity and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail store and/or shopping center location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor and report suspicious behavior, potential theft indicators, and/or operational hazards; communicate observations to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, assisting with crowd control, and/or coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation; use radios and/or other systems to maintain situational awareness and support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
