YOUR IMPACT

As a Lead Solution Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical wins, enabling partners, and supporting sales teams across multiple routes to market-including RMM-centric, MSP-focused, and VAR-led motions.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing, and highly collaborative role. You will work closely with Sales, Channel, Product Management, and fellow Solution Consultants to position OpenText Cybersecurity solutions effectively, address complex customer requirements, and accelerate deal velocity.

Serving as a trusted technical advisor, you will translate business challenges into practical cybersecurity, data protection, and resilience solutions-balancing deep technical expertise with clear, pragmatic guidance.

This position is remote, with travel required for customer engagements, partner meetings, and industry events.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Present, demonstrate, and clearly articulate the value of the OpenText Cybersecurity portfolio, aligning capabilities to customer and partner use cases.
  • Support opportunities across RMM, MSP, and VAR routes to market, while assisting additional sales teams as needed.
  • Partner closely with Sales to qualify opportunities, shape solution design, and drive deals to successful close.
  • Gather and analyze customer and partner technical requirements, providing structured feedback to Product Management and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-impact product demonstrations, architecture discussions, and technical workshops tailored to audience needs and buying stages.
  • Enable partners through technical validation, solution positioning, and best-practice recommendations.
  • Respond effectively to technical inquiries, RFPs/RFIs, and security-related questions in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • 8+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Proven experience supporting MSP, RMM, or channel-driven sales motions (strongly preferred).
  • Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and core security principles.
  • Solid knowledge of encryption, data security methodologies, and compliance themed solutions.
  • Experience administering or supporting SaaS-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming concepts (e.g., PowerShell, REST APIs, or similar).
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in complex, multi-variable environments.
