How you will make an impact

The Director, Quality Partner Liaison provides strategic oversight and guidance for quality engagement across Halozyme's external partner network. This role is responsible for managing partner requests and activities, ensuring timely prioritization and resolution through effective coordination and deployment of project management skills. The Director serves as a trusted resource on Quality Systems-such as change control, deviation management, and CAPA-providing clarity and guidance to partners while maintaining compliance with global regulatory standards. Additionally, this role maintains Quality Agreements within their scope of partners and leading negotiations on behalf of Halozyme.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Serve as the primary Quality liaison for Halozyme's partner network, ensuring alignment with corporate quality objectives

  • Engage in strategic discussions with partners to influence quality outcomes and resolve complex challenges

  • Act as a knowledgeable resource on Halozyme's Quality Systems, including change control, deviation management, and CAPA

  • Provide clear, timely guidance to partners on system processes, status updates, and rationale for quality decisions

  • Lead negotiations and revisions of Quality Agreements, representing Halozyme's interests and ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements, and maintains current Quality Agreements for assigned partners

  • Manage incoming partner requests and activities, serving as the central coordination point

  • Deploy project management skills to prioritize, track, and facilitate resolution by engaging appropriate subject matter experts

  • Drive initiatives that enhance partner integration and improve quality processes

  • Facilitate transparent communication while balancing confidentiality and compliance

  • Host and lead partner audits and site visits, demonstrating Halozyme's commitment to quality excellence

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, Biological Science or Engineering preferred, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in quality assurance or quality management, with a significant focus on strategic decision making in a senior leadership role (An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)

  • Expertise in navigating complex quality systems and standards, with a strong orientation toward strategic quality improvement.

  • Outstanding ability to lead with respect, humility, and appreciation, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and projects, with a proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement.

  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards in both biological production and aseptic filling environments with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

The most likely base pay range for this position is $180K - $252K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
