DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Our caring and dedicated nursing team provides around-the-clock care, seven days a week. From assisting residents with their morning routines to supporting their participation in engaging activities, you play an important role in their daily lives. Through regular, hands-on care, you can make a positive difference in residents' quality of life. Under the direct supervision of licensed staff, you will assist residents according to their individual care plans. Your duties include observing residents' conditions, taking vital signs, and collecting specimens such as urine, stool, and sputum. You will treat residents with compassion and respect while helping with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and hair, oral, and nail care. Other responsibilities include making beds, changing linens, serving meal trays, assisting with feeding, and accurately recording the care provided. You will also help maintain a safe environment by following infection control policies and universal health care precautions. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 12.5 hour shifts, 75 hours biweekly
- Work hours are 3rd shift (6:00 PM to 7:00 AM), rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be required to work every other weekend.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
- This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualification (not required):
- Previous long term care experience
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
