GENERAL SUMMARY: The Nursing Manager is a Registered Nurse who is accountable for leading, managing, developing, supervising, and evaluating the delivery of patient care at multiple sites or departments. Provides clinic leadership and works in partnership with nursing, the health care team and leadership to assure quality patient care. Care is provided in accordance with departmental, Henry Ford Medical Group and Henry Ford Health policies and procedures. Facilitates empowerment of staff in the implementation of creative and innovative patient care delivery models and stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care services. In conjunction with the Administrator, assumes responsibility for fiscal management of clinic/department. There is a significant business/operations piece to this role, highly prefer exposure through prior experience managing cost/budgets/access to care/etc. There is a significant HR component to this role and requires a leader who has managed hiring/terminations/corrective actions/annual reviews/staffing plans, etc. Location: This role is 100% in person. Not a good fit if seeking remote or hybrid work. **This role covers 4 clinics in the Macomb market: Henry Ford Macomb Medical Office Pavilion, 26 mile near Romeo Plank, Warren and Chesterfield. Benefits: Full Time Leadership Benefits Hours: Days Monday-Friday EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in nursing or related field required. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent preferred. Three to five (3-5) years of progressively more responsible experience demonstrating leadership skills in a clinical setting required. Some examples include Charge Nurse Duties; Leadership of special projects such as Service Excellence teams; Quality Improvement initiatives, Clinic Process Redesign. Ambulatory experience highly preferred Women's health experience highly preferred Experience w/ change management or lean principals highly preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage complex clinical, administrative, and interpersonal problems. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Maintains professional competency through review of current literature, attendance at educational programs, and participation in professional organizations. 2+ years' experience managing direct reports Requires a leader who has managed hiring/terminations/corrective actions/annual reviews/staffing plans, etc. Highly prefer exposure through prior experience managing cost/budgets/access to care/etc. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
