Henry Ford Medical Center - Sterling Heights is a full-service medical center with providers specializing in adult and pediatric primary care, as well as allergy, cardiology, orthopedics, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, vascular surgery and sleep disorders. Other on-site services include laboratory, radiology and a pharmacy. Also offered at this site is a 24/7 emergency department and a walk-in clinic for non-emergency medical concerns. Specialized care for cardiovascular disease Depending on the results of your initial visit and testing, you may receive ongoing care from our cardiologists or we may refer you to one of our specialists. These doctors have advanced training in diagnosing and treating complex forms of heart and vascular care.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate. **This RN is mostly on the PC, phone, working in baskets, RX refills, triage phone calls, etc. Location:3500 15 Mile Sterling Heights, MI 48310 Benefits: Full-Time Hours: 40 hours a week (day shift) 5 days a week EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
