The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Inpatient and Residential Social Worker work with an interdisciplinary team consisting of medical and psychiatry providers and other disciplines in developing and managing treatment plans. This position serves as liaison in relation to patient care and needs, between the hospital, community, and insurers to facilitate access to clinical treatment for individuals. The BHS Inpatient and Residential Social Worker provides social services to both adult and child/adolescent patients.

Services include, but are not limited to bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, individual and family education. Provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed. Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient centered timely, efficient, and equitable. Social workers also serve on designated committees and as qualified, may serve as field instructors for social work interns.
