Work Schedule:

This is a salaried position. 100% FTE, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Will work on site during training (three to six months). After training and pending operational capabilities may potentially have opportunity to work remote from home some days of the week; this will vary based on department needs. Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital located in Madison, WI.

We are seeking an RN Heart Transplant Coordinator to:

  • Collaborate with world-renowned transplant experts in a program known globally for research, innovation, and excellence in patient outcomes.
  • Guide patients through one of the most important journeys of their lives, coordinating transplant and long-term post-transplant care.
  • Use your critical thinking and clinical judgment daily, delivering personalized education and support across the continuum of care.
  • Facilitate building lasting relationships with patients and families.
  • Work in an academic medical center that actively applies research and cutting-edge therapies to help patients live longer and reduce transplant risks.
  • Make a tangible difference, providing hope and saving lives by helping patients successfully navigate the transplant process.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of experience and education Required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or relevant area may be used to substitute for one (1) year of clinical experience
Work Experience
  • 2 years of clinical nursing experience Required
  • Progressive Nursing experience with demonstrated success Required
  • 2 years of transplant or closely related nursing experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
