Qualifications for Employment

Education (Minimum Requirements):

Bachelor's degree in Education or closely related field from an accredited college or university.

Employment Experience (Minimum Requirements):

Two years in the field of adult education, teaching, or education administration; strong demonstrated knowledge in non-traditional education; budget management experience; proficient in computer software applications; familiar with integrating technology into instruction.

Pertinent Other:

Commitment to evenings, weekend, and/or offsite instructional supervision with adjusted day schedule.
Demonstrated strong computational skills with computer applications, particularly spread sheet and Microsoft Suite.
Ability to supervise the work of others.
Commitment to cultural diversity, affirmative action, and working with low-income populations.
Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in all work performed.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills.

Nature and Scope of Duties

The Associate Coordinator for Instructional Services reports to the Coordinator for Instructional Services and performs the following duties:

Provides overall administrative supervision to evening, weekend, and off-site activities as necessary.

Assists the Coordinator in developing, implementing, and maintaining process and documentation for all departmental budgetary and purchasing matters.

Assists with financial reporting functions of an educational institution consistent with the accepted principles of college accounting as they relate to transactions and consistent with all terms and requirements of EOC funding source agreements.

Researches and develops plans to integrate technology into classroom instruction, as well as other innovative practices.

Assists and supports instructional staff in their efforts to integrate technology into classroom instruction.

Acts as liaison between instructional staff and ATTAIN staff.

Works closely with ATTAIN staff to promote ongoing integration of software for supplemental instruction.

Reviews and maintains copies of instructional program materials, including course objectives, course outlines, course checklists, and Instructional Plan Proposals (IPP's) for all day and evening programs.

Maintains records and completes reports, including compiling of statistics and data related to office functions, especially all grant and special project activities.

Conducts and maintains inventory control system of textbooks and operational supplies in conjunction with faculty.

Assists the Coordinator in creating and maintaining master instructional schedules.

Plans Professional Development.

Evaluates and collects student data.

Attends meetings and participates in the formulation and operation of instructional services procedures.

Develops systems to improve the operation of departmental and office procedures. Monitors and reports on implementation of those procedures.

Develops and maintains computerized reports and databases that support office functions.

Promotes and maintains positive communications and interactions with EOC staff and other "customers" in performance of duties. Keeps Coordinator informed at all times of departmental activities.

Works with instructors and counselors to monitor academic performance and student attendance.

Works closely with the Employment Services Department to provide information and assistance as needed for student employment and job placement activities.

Cooperates with other center offices and staff to assist in recruitment of students into instructional programs, as appropriate.

Assists support staff on special requests and activities.

Controls access to specialized computer laboratories and maintains custody of instructional and office equipment assigned to the department.

Enforces those Center regulations that are academic in nature as well as Center regulations in general.

Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

This is a full-time 12-month position with a salary of $60,000.00. Anticipated start date of February 23, 2026.
