POSITION SUMMARY:

The Tax Team at Milliman, Global Corporate Services (GCS) is looking for a Tax Accountant. The Income Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and assisting with various aspects of federal and state income tax compliance and reporting. This role ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns, extensions, estimated payments, and related schedules, while also providing support during audits and inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation, stay current with changes in tax laws, and contribute to optimizing the company's overall tax strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tax Research:



  • Research applicable tax laws and regulations


Tax Returns:



  • Prepare and support the filing of federal (Form 1120) and state income tax returns, including related tax schedules.
  • Prepare and assist with income tax provision and projection calculations to support financial reporting.
  • Prepare and assist with income tax extensions, including federal and state quarterly tax calculations, and ensure all payments are remitted on time.
  • Prepare income tax allocation schedules and year-end tax journal entries.
  • Prepare year-end 1099 schedules and related tax returns.
  • Assist with special projects and other tax-related initiatives as assigned.


Audit Assistance:



  • Provide technical support during jurisdictional examinations (income tax, etc.)


Communication:



  • Respond to notices from tax authorities
  • Provide support to offices regarding tax-related inquiries


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • The ideal candidate must have minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Public Accounting or multinational entities (MNE).
  • The ideal candidate must be proficient in using Excel.
  • The ideal candidate must be proficient in using applications such as Thomson Reuters (OneSource) or similar.
  • Must have good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Must have attention to detail with strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Must have strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently.


LOCATION:

This is a remote role. This job posting is expected to close on February 28th, 2026

COMPENSATION:

The overall salary range for this role is $59,200 - $109,020. For candidates residing in:



  • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Newark, San Jose, San Francisco, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $68,080 - $109,020.
  • All other locations the salary range is $59,200 - $94,800.


A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
