Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Supervisor- Network Operations Center (NOC) is responsible for shift supervision of personnel and uninterrupted operation of telecommunication, dispatch, and emergency notification operations for HonorHealth. Direct responsibility for supervision of daily/shift NOC Operations and collaboration with internal HonorHealth partners, IT, and external vendors to develop routine, emergency and downtime procedures to maintain uninterrupted communications for HonorHealth NOC. Responsible to assist leadership with the hiring, training, evaluation, and daily supervision of NOC communications and dispatch personnel. Responsible for supervision over events involving NOC critical response notifications such as Rapid Response, Code Blue, Trauma, STEMI, Stroke Alert Media, and Incident Response. Maintains collaborative supervision/leadership role in Incident Response, Emergency Preparedness, and Security across HonorHealth. Responsible to ensure staff are adequately trained in NOC equipment for 24/7/365 delivery of telecommunication, dispatch, and emergency notification operations for HonorHealth.
Supervision of assigned NOC Communications and Dispatch personnel. Responsible for conducting interviews, selection, performance management, performance appraisals, coaching, correction action and termination of staff. Training supervision and oversight of new NOC Central Communications personnel. Ensures appropriate staffing for HonorHealth Central Communications locations. Responsible for shift coverage, scheduling, and covering call-offs.Responsible for the supervision of NOC Dispatch operations and related documentation of calls for service and incidents. Responsible for the computer aided dispatch (CAD) software for electronic reports and documentation of security activities. Collaborates with security leadership for quality assurance of documentation. Supervision of camera use to assist with dispatch and security officer safety through appropriate camera monitoring and/or review.Responsible for proper management of incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the HonorHealth Network. Ensures overhead paging initiatives and needs are being met. Ensures staff are completing documentation/logs of all hospital code events to include date time and evaluations. Ensures that HIPAA requirements are being met.Supervision of equipment and responsible for inventory and maintenance. Assists with acquisition, programming, deployment, and maintenance of central communications and dispatch related equipment and communications devices. Supervises programming for various emergency response pager groups and manages group assignments to individual pager devices. Develops program plates for devices and supervises inventory of pre-programmed swap out devices for the pager-carrying groups in order to provide immediate swap-out of malfunctioning devices. Maintains the 24/7 on call list for the various departments. Monitors placement of HAM equipment to ensure transmission does not interfere with hospital radio transmission. Ensures compliance with FCC regulations and maintaining license renewal.Assists management with development of operating and capital budgets for department and monitors monthly expenses. Assists management with capital requests for NOC.Participates with Emergency Preparedness leadership in planning activities for Incident Response and Emergency Preparedness including debriefing and best practice development. Ensures phone directories are kept updated to ensure operators have accurate information for triaging calls. Facilitates the proper use of mass notifications systems identified and used by Emergency Preparedness and the NOC.
