Member Relationship Coordinator

Summary of Position

In this role, you will collaborate across the organization, support operational tasks, and member engagement. You will be responsible for direct outreach, creating meaningful interactions, developing valuable information assets and will play a key role in enhancing our members' experience. This position is eligible for NRECA's hybrid schedule which allows flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per/week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the application process and administration of the NRECA Broadband program, from initial application through participation approval and onboarding. Prepare reporting to the Broadband Director and NRECA staff monthly and as needed.

  • Supports member dues process, including managing the delinquent membership dues recovery process, tracking payments, and communicating with members to ensure timely payment.

  • Receives, reviews, and responds directly to member inquiries. Identifies inquiries that need to be escalated and routes to management or NRECA staff when appropriate. Acts as backup to Membership Mailbox for M&BD Liaison.

  • Supports member inquiries on dues including calculation, providing dues estimates, addresses requests for dues adjustments or revisions to data, and other dues related projects.

  • Supports the process for onboarding new memberships, including organizational research, managing historical files and database updates, managing administrative onboarding processes, and communicating with members.

  • Leads member data collection processes, including tracking, reporting, and documentation of member data and products, used for member dues and other NRECA reporting purposes. Tracks member data, communicates with internal staff and members as needed, and follows up to ensure correct data keeping in all processes.

  • Supports departmental efforts to maintain accurate member records in NetFORUM including data clean-up efforts, documenting processes for common practices and testing new functionality.

  • Develops subject matter expertise in departmental processes and identifies areas to improve processes, documentation, and/or reporting.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business, or related field required.
    • 2 + years of experience with association member outreach, membership recruiting, and problem solving.
    • Experience with association membership database(s); netFORUM experience a plus

    • Interpersonal skills, member service orientation and ability to work in a team environment.

    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in records, and the ability to prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks.

    • Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects at various stages of development using effective organization skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to report to the office 3 days per and as required.

    Essential Physical Requirements:

    • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.

    • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
