General Summary

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (Construction) is responsible for supporting Construction Segment leadership with financial analysis, budget/forecast, and capital planning.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for Construction business units.

  • Prepare detailed financial models, trend analysis, and variance explanations.

  • Maintain rolling forecasts and assist in continuous planning improvements.

  • Develop and manage inventory analysis tools, and follow up on inventory audit results

  • Generate monthly reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and business performance summaries.

  • Perform detailed margin, pricing, cost, and volume analyses to support operational decisions.

  • Conduct ad hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis as requested by segment or BU leadership.

  • Analysis and review of capital planning projects

  • Performs other duties as required

  • Ad hoc financial reporting to support operational decision-making

Job Specifications

Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.

  • 1-3 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis (construction/manufacturing preferred).

  • Experience with OneStream, Power BI, or other advanced analytics platforms is a plus.

  • Prior FP&A experience preferred

  • Knowledge of a budget and planning process

  • Working knowledge and understanding of accounting and finance practices

  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook are required)

Skills and abilities

  • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking

  • Proficiency in the use of business math

  • Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential and sensitive information

  • Ability to successfully communicate with all organizational levels

  • Ability to communicate clearly via phone and email with plants, co-workers and others

  • Ability to follow directions and instructions

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work hours mandated by management

  • Ability to pass a drug test

Working Conditions

Working environment is favorable. Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time. The use of a computer is essential. Hearing, seeing and talking are essential duties of the job. Travel domestically is required.
