3rd Shift Injection Molding Supervisor

Job Summary

Responsible for leading, training and coordinating all efforts for the Molding and Finishing Departments and shall adhere to policies and procedures to ensure that maximum productivity and efficiencies are met.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

Work directly with production and support staff to:

* Ensure safety processes and procedures are followed at all times

* Monitor and improve press utilization and productivity

* Ensure the effective use of all personnel

* Monitor and work to reduce scrap levels

* Train production colleagues and support staff

* Work on cycle time improvement programs

* Ensure effective use of raw materials (including regrind)

* Make shop cleanliness a top priority

* Work with Maintenance to ensure all production equipment is in good repair

* Ensure all ISO procedures are being followed and that all work instructions are being used and kept current

* Ensure all labor and production data is reported and entered correctly into computer

* Follow schedule and job priorities

* Troubleshoot and advise on processing molds and setups

* Start up and shut down presses and equipment

* Shut down the production floor and lock up the building at end of week production

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Minimum 5 years plastic injection molding experience (preferred)

* Minimum 3 year supervisory/leadership experience (preferred)

* Mechanical Ability and knowledge on Plastic Molding Equipment

* Injection Molding - processing capability

* High School Diploma or equivalent; some college education a plus
