The Role:

We are looking for our next Head of Manufacturing, Americas. The Head of Manufacturing, Americas will lead the operations of multiple plants within the region and be responsible for driving operational excellence, safety, quality, and performance across all manufacturing activities. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure industrial activities meet short- and long-term business objectives while fostering a strong culture of Lean Manufacturing, Health & Safety, and Quality.

This position is located in Geneva, IL, with frequent travel to regional plant locations.

Compensation:

The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $234,270- $317,000. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide strategic leadership to regional manufacturing operations to drive operational performance, innovation, and competitiveness.
  • Lead and deploy a Lean Manufacturing program across all sites, delivering productivity improvements, cost savings, lead-time reductions, and enhanced quality and service.
  • Oversee and standardize manufacturing processes, ensuring continuous improvement, harmonization, and operational efficiency across plants.
  • Supervise production standards and performance metrics, tracking results against group targets and providing regular performance reviews to senior leadership.
  • Ensure clear, transparent, and structured communication with Plant Directors and site leadership teams.
  • Promote and embed a culture of Operational Excellence throughout the manufacturing organization.
  • Inspire, engage, and develop teams at all levels, ensuring alignment with company strategy and objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, IT, Compliance, Finance, HR, Legal, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic industrial projects on behalf of the COO from design through sustainable implementation.
  • Build strong succession plans and develop future leaders and technical expertise within the manufacturing organization.

What You'll Need:

Education:

  • Engineering degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations, including multi-site leadership.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within an international or matrixed organization.
  • Strong background in manufacturing operations with exposure to quality management and/or engineering.
  • Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing methodologies (Kaizen, Six Sigma, TQM, Kanban, etc.).
  • Experience within food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or other relevant process industries (e.g., chemicals, metals, plastics, automotive).
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional and cross-border teams.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Direct leadership responsibility for a regional manufacturing leadership team, overseeing multiple plant organizations.

Work Environment

  • This role spends time across office and manufacturing plant environments and requires regular presence at plant locations.
