Position description

We're looking for an experienced senior level engineer to help us develop within our axe Reports product. We work primarily in TypeScript, Node.js, and ReactJS. This position will be responsible for helping us extend our current functionality to display charts and reports to help clients understand how their organization's products fair on accessibility.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing on both the frontend and backend, developing APIs, services, and accessible UI pages & components. You will also be expected to contribute to CI/CD infrastructure, technical discussions, write technical proposals, and help the team improve its processes on a regular basis. As a market leader, Deque is pushing the boundaries of what's possible in achieving digital accessibility, and you will play a critical role in creating innovative solutions that seamlessly allow clients to improve their own applications' accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain TypeScript products, libraries, and APIs that help companies understand their products' accessibility scores
  • Write and review technical proposals
  • Write new features, unit tests, integration tests, and related
  • Assist in the review of pull requests, including security reviews
  • Assist the team in improving processes and policies on a regular basis

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with TypeScript
  • 4+ years of experience with Node.js
  • 1+ years of experience with with ReactJS
  • Working knowledge of WCAG and ARIA
  • Working knowledge of web accessibility
  • Demonstrated work on a product team
  • Demonstrated work with charting libraries
  • Basic secure web programming knowledge and experience
  • Source code management, pull request reviews, and related
  • Ability to work independently and learn as needed, but also know when to ask for support
