We're looking for a Safety Supervisor to join our EPC Project in the nuclear power plant environment in Blackfoot, Idaho.

As the Safety Supervisor, here's the work you'll do:

  • Serve as a resource for line management to develop and administer a proactive prevention program for accidents and illnesses.
  • Provide technical assistance to office and field operations to ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state and/or company environmental, safety, and health regulations. Keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
  • Conduct compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure that regulatory environmental, safety, and health standards of the company and all applicable codes are followed. Recommend facilities and technological specifications to carry out programs that fulfill the organization's overall objectives.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Establish and maintain licenses and permits as required. Meet applicable regulatory codes and standards where required
  • Correspond with internal and external contacts. Internal contacts may include site management, assigned EHS Manager, workers compensation personnel, and other operations and functional counterparts. External contacts include clients at work locations and regulatory agencies
  • Exhibit knowledge and apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of you EHS specialty. Under close supervision, assist in the application and enforcement of company and project standards and regulations. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Some work is routine and instructions are detailed.
  • Safety train and hire Craft employees / Safety Meetings
  • Risk assessments Safety audits / Observations / develop safety protocols
  • Work with / Coach / educate craft to D&Z Policies and Procedures
  • Record Safety incidents / prepare reports



This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies solutions to non-standard requests. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services in own discipline.
  • Works independently with minimal guidance. Usually determines own work priorities. Manages own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for short-term work activities in own area.
  • Ability to work with Supervision to create a "Safe Work Environment"
  • Effective Communication skills
  • Material handling / rigging / ergonomics awareness



And if you have these qualifications:

  • College degree is preferred or 6 years or more experience
  • CHST/OHST Preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Union craft labor and craft leadership. Requires experience in the EHS field or a closely related field, or equivalent prior training.
  • Arc Flash hazard awareness


Experience working under an ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Program

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $54,000- $154,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
