What the day will look like

This role leads critical threat assessment efforts by evaluating risks, advising leaders, and coordinating responses with key partners throughout the organization.

  • Provide rotating oncall coverage as part of the team's response structure.
  • Brief senior leadership on emerging issues, key findings, and recommended actions.
  • Conduct thorough threat assessments across a wide range of concerns.
  • Partner with law enforcement (LE) on criminal incidents and informationsharing needs.
  • Work closely with Legal, People Matters, and crossfunctional partners to review critical incidents, evaluate program effectiveness, and address workplace violence risks.
  • Recommend appropriate mitigation strategies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Stay current on tools, technologies, and methods used to monitor and assess threats.
  • Communicate timesensitive information quickly and effectively to relevant leaders.
  • Advise stakeholders on personnel actions-such as terminations-that may require security involvement.
  • Maintain organized case management files and comprehensive documentation for all threatrelated incidents.
  • Prepare clear, accurate internal and external reports on persons of interest or concern.
  • Engage actively in professional security organizations, including the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Manage multiple priorities independently and exercise sound judgment in critical decisionmaking.
  • Deliver inperson and virtual training on Workplace Violence Prevention, Response, and threat assessment processes, and maintain certifications related to these.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Certification as a Threat Assessment Manger.
  • At least 7 years of private sector corporate security, law enforcement, military experience or any combination of the three, and in Investigations or Threat Assessments.
  • Prior experience conducting diverse investigations ranging from workplace violence, threat mitigation, financial crimes, corrupt practices, thefts and insider threats.
  • Possess relationships with domestic and international law enforcement and government counterparts, as well as private sector peers.
  • Develop protocols and practices to assess and mitigate threats to company assets; manage crises and deliver threat assessment services by collecting, evaluating and disseminating accurate and timely information to appropriate managers.
  • Experience leading interviews including non-confrontational interviewing techniques.

Education: Bachelor's degree and Certified Threat Manager (CTM)

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $130,000-$145,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
