Make it happen at Hopkins Patient Care Tech Intern - Surgical In Patient Full time - Day shift - 36 hours. The Patient Care Tech Intern works under the supervision of a nurse and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates. The Johns Hopkins Hospital Surgical Inpatient / IMC Unit (Zayed 11 West) is a 32-bed surgical unit caring for adolescent and adult patients. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor, telemetry, and 6 intermediate care beds. Care and services provided: Thoracic Surgery (lung resections, pneumonectomy, esophagectomy), Urology (RRP, TURP), and variety of general surgery patients.
