Vizient Intern Program Overview:

This program is designed to foster a beneficial relationship and provide growth opportunities for Vizient, our employees, and collegiate students. Since 2000, our summer intern program has provided college undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students with practical experience that exposes them to multiple aspects of a career field and the healthcare industry. This full-time, paid intern program offers an opportunity to accelerate academic learning, apply classroom knowledge, and introduce students to a professional setting. Interns are assigned a supervisor to mentor/develop their business skills and to monitor their work experience. Interns are integral members of the company's team, setting goals, working toward deadlines, and actively participating in community service projects.

The program requires the intern to commit to 10 weeks of participation in all formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders.

  • Program starts June 1, 2026, and ends August 7, 2026
  • 40 hours per week with a pay rate of $24 per hour.

What you will do:

The Enterprise Account Management Intern will support the EAM team in building and maintaining strong relationships with large, complex healthcare clients. This role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise client engagement, healthcare consulting operations, and cross-functional collaboration. The intern will assist with account coordination, data analysis, reporting, and process improvement while gaining insight into how medical consulting firms deliver value to health systems, providers, and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Support Enterprise Account Managers in day-to-day client account activities, including meeting preparation, follow-ups, and documentation
  • Assist with tracking account performance, deliverables, timelines, and client requests across multiple enterprise clients
  • Help prepare client-facing materials such as presentations, reports, dashboards, and summaries of consulting engagements
  • Analyze account data and client feedback to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinate with internal teams (consulting, analytics, operations, and project management) to ensure client needs are addressed accurately and on time
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and internal systems, ensuring client information and engagement notes are up to date
  • Participate in client meetings, internal strategy sessions, and account reviews to gain exposure to enterprise relationship management
  • Support special projects related to client experience, process optimization, or account growth initiatives
  • Conduct research on healthcare industry trends, client organizations, and market dynamics to support account strategy

What you will need:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, economics, or a related field.
  • Must have completed thesophomore year as an undergraduate before the start of the internship or have recently completed your degree.
  • Basic understanding of working in a hybrid environment, workplace ethics, and effective communication.
  • Good organization and planning skills, and demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation based on past work or school experiences.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize information for problem-solving are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting across the team and potentially with internal Vizient business partners, external members, and suppliers.
