The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Responsibilities will include:
* Recruiting and screening potential study participants from diverse communities
* Conducting outreach to Spanish-speaking populations
* Scheduling and coordinating qualitative research sessions (interviews, focus groups, design workshops)
* Facilitating or co-facilitating qualitative design sessions with the PI
* Providing real-time interpretation during research activities when needed
* Translating study materials, consent forms, and participant communications
* Managing participant tracking databases and study documentation
* Assisting with qualitative data collection and initial coding/transcription
* Performing other duties as assigned
This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is based on availability of funding.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
*Currently enrolled in a graduate program (MS or PhD) in nursing, public health, social work, health education, or related field* Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience working with diverse populations
* Cultural sensitivity and competence
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in community-based participatory research
- Background in qualitative research methods (interviews, focus groups, ethnography)
- Experience with human-centered design or co-design methodologies
