Summary:

In this role, you will serve as a task and project leader within the strategic market research practice in the Office of Strategy Management, delivering innovative healthcare industry research and forecasting that informs Vizient's strategy and market opportunity assessment. You will apply advanced quantitative and economic methods to generate industry insights, evolve the Vizient market outlook, and provide rigorous, client needs-based forecasting. You will collaborate closely with peers and stakeholders to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable intelligence that supports strategic planning and executive decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of conceptual frameworks for complex market research initiatives, including development of the Vizient market outlook.
  • Analyze and forecast healthcare market trends and client demand using large-scale datasets and advanced quantitative techniques.
  • Apply econometric and statistical methods to evaluate programs, market signals, and emerging industry trends.
  • Lead analytic tasks or projects that assess and monitor complex healthcare market interactions.
  • Develop, document, and maintain analytic models and procedures to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and quality.
  • Build and maintain datasets while coordinating dependencies with cross-functional partners.
  • Synthesize advanced analyses into insights that support strategic planning, business decisions, and executive discussions.
  • Deliver customized analyses using internal and external data sources, including structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Assess competitive dynamics and client needs to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
  • Communicate project expectations, progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Ph.D. in Economics or a related quantitative field, with demonstrated expertise in econometrics or applied statistics preferred
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Advanced training in economics, econometrics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Experience conducting quantitative healthcare market research and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming tools such as R, Python, or STATA.
  • Experience with data and visualization tools including SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to present complex market research findings to executive audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality of analytic deliverables.
  • Experience applying AI or generative AI tools to research and analytics preferred.

This is an office based role with an expectation of three days per week on site (Irving, TX, Chicago, IL or Centennial, CO)

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
