DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Database Administrator 2, responsibilities include the oversight and preparation of visualization of data using tools such as Microsoft PowerBI, SQL Server Integration Services, and SQL Analysis Services. This position works with Employment, Banking, and Revenue (EBR) users to advance the usage of data visualization tools, establish and administer standards and serve as EBR liaison with Microsoft regarding data visualization topics. The role involves creating and maintaining appropriate reports and dashboards, establishing recovery procedures as needed on 24 x 7 basis and monitoring performance, space usage and growth. You will have the opportunity to lead planning activities related to the overall usage and design of data products and provide professional advice and opinions to senior management regarding improvements in the technology, the delivery of solutions and the management of tools to provide insights into data. Additional responsibilities:
- Train and mentor developers and users on data visualization techniques
- Ensure security, integrity and availability of all data
- Available 24/7 for support
- Comply with all bureau and departmental security policies and guidelines

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Database Administrator 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Six years of information technology experience that includes three years in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration; or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes three years in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- Two years of information technology experience in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
