THE POSITION

The Health and Human Services Information Technology Delivery Center (HHS ITDC) is looking for an experienced project manager to lead a team through projects to support our initiatives. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Project Manager 3, you will be responsible for directing, administering, managing, and facilitating IT enhancements, business process re-engineerings, or developmental projects, and ultimately responsible for the success of the project. This position drives the entire effort from start to finish, ensuring the project is completed on schedule, within the defined budget, and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements. You will have the opportunity to mentor less experienced project management staff and business teams to build an overall understanding of project management. Work also involves monitoring project budgets, analyzing reports, addressing project related issues, building relationships with key stakeholders, as well as developing risk mitigation strategies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six years of experience in leading IT projects and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes six years of experience in leading IT projects.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
