We are looking for a seasoned Loan Closing Manager in Huntington Beach or San Diego, CA.

Essential Functions:

  • Directly and through subordinates, manages loan closing operations and staff.
  • Establishes and maintains closing processes and procedures to ensure quality customer service.
  • Manages loan closing activities including the completion of all due diligence activities associated with the preparation of loan closing documents.
  • Manages the requesting, reviewing and interpretation of third-party documents needed to provide the clear to close and efforts to prepare loan closing documents for loans.
  • Responsible for the daily workflow to ensure operating schedules are met and staff is adequately trained.
  • Manages staff, sets work schedules, allocates and monitors work.
  • Assists manager in providing efficient and effective services to customers.
  • Reviews and analyzes existing procedures and recommends changes when necessary to ensure area is efficient.
  • May be responsible for the verification and quality control of loan documents.
  • Manages the Credit Lead queue and assigns due diligence and closing tasks to middle office loan closers.
  • Manages any overflow of Credit Lead queues and clears any existing work backlogs.
  • Assists the middle office loan closers, client relationship associates and relationship managers to troubleshoot Credit Lead issues.
  • Provides training on Credit Lead or related systems to staff as needed.
  • Provides technical support and guidance.
  • Responsible to manage, implement, and maintain the ongoing monitoring of individual and departmental productivity measures.
  • Ensures staffing level needs are met.
  • May oversee or handle directly more complex or unique transactions.
  • Administers Bank policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Recommends improved processes and implements department policies, procedures and systems.
  • Maintains working relationships with branch staff, lending officers, and credit administrators.
  • Has authority concerning staffing, performance evaluations, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.
  • Level III must manage Commercial, C &I and/or Commercial RE loan closing groups to qualify for this level of the role.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 4+ yrs of loan processing, loan operations and credit analysis or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Management or supervisory experience required.
  • Requires a considerable working knowledge of lending operations, processing, documentation, credit analysis, loan processes and procedures, laws and regulations.
  • Requires a working knowledge of related fields including banking, lending, credit administration and the ability to apply that information to the current role.
  • Strong analysis and problem resolution skills .
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with lenders, management, and administrative staff.
  • Must have solid leadership and management capabilities and be goal oriented.
  • Strong organizational, project management and communication skills, both verbal and written.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $83,000 - $120,000 hourly depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
