Job Description




As a Custom Protection Officer in Colorado Springs, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Your responsibilities include communicating with on-site teams, managing incident reports, and helping to deter security-related incidents through prompt response and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and manage incoming calls, alarms, and communications for the utilities location, dispatching appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site teams and emergency responders.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of all communications, incidents, and dispatch activities.
  • Operate communication equipment and security-related technology to support operations at the utilities location.
  • Assist in monitoring security-related systems such as CCTV and access control to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders to relay information and instructions as required.
Minimum Requirements
Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
And all of the following:
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.
