We are seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer with strong Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise to support the FLRAA program. This role will ensure requirements traceability, technical rigor, and alignment across all phases of development, integration, verification, and validation. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in systems engineering for major defense acquisition programs and be proficient with MBSE tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo EA.

As a Systems Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure traceability of requirements from the FLRAA Capability Description Document and platform performance specifications through the functional and allocated baseline using MBSE tools.

  • Conduct detailed requirements analysis to ensure proper allocation and alignment across the specification tree.

  • Review technical documentation, verification plans, and test reports to confirm fulfillment of FLRAA requirements.

  • Support requirement trade studies to resolve emerging issues throughout FLRAA development, integration, verification, and validation activities.

  • Participate in Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Technical Risk Assessments, and other technical and milestone reviews.

  • Assist IPTs in identifying risks, issues, and opportunities related to cost, schedule, and technical performance, and support development of mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate changes to system requirements, configuration documents, and contract requirements through FLRAA governing processes.

  • Support development of the Systems Engineering Plan, contract requirement package, and program milestone documentation in accordance with DoD and Army policies.

  • Coordinate review, adjudication, and staffing of technical and programmatic documents.

  • Provide leadership with regular status updates on Systems Engineering activities.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of applicable progressively complex systems design experience, including hardware/software integration of complex systems.

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, ideally MagicDraw/Cameo Enterprise Architect.

  • Understanding of requirements development, allocation, verification, and traceability.

  • Experience supporting major technical reviews (e.g., CDRs) and risk management activities.

  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, Army policies, and milestone documentation requirements for Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAPs).

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with integrated product teams in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Systems Engineering, preferably within DoD or aerospace programs.
