Hours & Pay



  • Pay Rate: $20-$25 per hour (DOE)
  • Schedule: Part-time, flexible 15-20 hours per week
  • Employment Type: Temporary

Daily Tasks



  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll processing through ADP
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and compliant financial records
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and internal reports
  • Submit required North Carolina annual reports and estimated tax payments
  • Prepare and distribute annual tax documents, including W-2s and 1099-NEC/MISC
  • Compile annual financial organizer materials for external CPAs
  • Serve as the primary contact for bookkeeping questions and documentation
  • Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and consistency across all financial data



Requirements



  • 3+ years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • QuickBooks experience required
  • Payroll processing and reconciliation experience
  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines independently and communicate clearly
  • Proven integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
  • Experience with nonprofit or faith-based organizations is a plus, but not required
