Warehouse Specialist

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for efficient and accurate handling, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse. This role ensures compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and (if applicable) regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, GDP, FDA, ISO). The Warehouse Specialist works closely with supply chain, manufacturing operations, quality teams and other departments to ensure inventory availability and inventory records accuracy to support development activities and production of clinical/commercial products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Bin and shelf inventory maintenance and stock rotation-including shelf counts, short shelf life and expired product audits.
  • Accurately pick, pack, stage, and ship materials to internal departments, clinical/commercial sites, or customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Utilize order management /inventory systems to track and update order statuses and material transactions, systematically issues materials and update records in inventory management system.
  • Maintain supply for min- max materials and re order to prevent inventory shortages
  • Material handling and transfer person to aid in organizing the warehouse, keeping an up-to-date inventory, continuing to label the warehouse and GMP areas, keeping cycle counts, responsible for unloading pallets and organizing them according to department and use.
  • Organizing the materials inside GMP areas and keeping enough cleaning/gowning supplies inside the GMP area stocked.
  • Ensure materials are stored according to company and regulatory requirements (e.g., temperature control, quarantine, labeling).
  • Assist with periodic physical inventory audits.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, etc.) safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse processes and logistics.
  • Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • At least 6 months of warehouse experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (ERP/WMS).
  • Computer literacy is required, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to be on your feet for up to 3 consecutive hours.
  • Physically willing and able to lift, pull and tug products weighing up to 55 lbs.
