Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a highly skilled Drafter/CAD Operator to support the development and maintenance of technical drawings and documentation for shipboard and laboratory installations related to HM&E cybersecurity systems. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and technical teams to create accurate and detailed drawings that support system design, integration, installation, and lifecycle sustainment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting Navy systems and modernization efforts.

Responsibilities



  • Develop, prepare, and update technical drawings, system diagrams, signal flow diagrams, installation connectivity diagrams, and other technical documentation.
  • Support engineering change processes, ensuring all drawings reflect current design changes, configuration management updates, and revision control best practices.
  • Participate in ship checks to validate existing configurations, gather design data, and verify installation requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers to interpret system requirements and translate them into clear, accurate technical drawings.
  • Assist with drawing package development, including formatting, quality checks, and preparing deliverables for customer review.
  • Maintain organized drawing files, metadata, and documentation in accordance with Navy and program standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Navy cybersecurity policies, RMF processes, security protocols, and all required technical or safety trainings.
  • Provide remote and onsite support as tasking requires, including occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Technical school degree or certificate in Drafting, Engineering Graphics, CAD Technology, Illustrating, Graphic Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience preparing, updating, and revising detail/design drawings for mechanical, electrical, or networking equipment.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and experience creating 2D/3D technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of technical drafting standards, layout practices, dimensioning, and annotation requirements.
  • Experience supporting mechanical/electrical/networking system drawings, including attention to accuracy, clarity, and configuration management.
  • Demonstrated experience following revision control processes and maintaining drawing documentation according to established standards.
  • Familiarity with Navy standards, cybersecurity requirements, and RMF processes or the ability to quickly learn applicable procedures.
  • Ability to complete all required Government-mandated security training, such as OPSEC, CUI handling, Cybersecurity 101, and others as assigned.
  • CSWF: IAT Level I certification.
  • Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS as required.
  • Ability to support work remotely or onsite, depending on mission needs.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is up to $53,193. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
