Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Position Overview

The entry-level computer engineering role supports the development, security, and deployment of cybersecurity-focused software solutions. The position involves assisting with the design, testing, and optimization of secure systems, managing and analyzing data used in threat detection, and contributing to the implementation of software in operational environments. Working closely with senior engineers, the candidate will gain hands-on experience with modern cybersecurity tools, secure coding practices, and system integration to help strengthen the organization's overall security posture.

Responsibilities



  • Implement software code modules aligned with project requirements and secure coding standards.
  • Conduct unit testing to validate functionality, identify defects, and ensure code reliability.
  • Contribute to DevSecOps pipelines by supporting automation, security integration, and continuous delivery processes.
  • Assist in building and maintaining containerized deployments using modern container orchestration tools.
  • Parse, structure, and express data using technologies such as RDF and OWL to support semantic data integration.
  • Prepare technical documentation and release notes to support knowledge transfer and version tracking.
  • Programming; containers; Semantic Web/HPC; documentation.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; OR Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Sciences.
  • One (1) year developing software in Java, Python, Go, or C++; AND
  • One (1) year applying Semantic Web technologies (OWL, RDF); OR
  • One (1)+ years developing HPC codes and/or optimizing parallelization/storage pipelines; OR
  • One (1)+ years developing containerized software solutions.
  • CSWF Certification (IAT Level I):

    • CompTIA A+
    • CompTIA Network+
    • CompTIA Security+
    • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)


  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: United States - Remote

Compensation

The salary range for this position is up to $64,270. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
