Pace Analytical is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Field Tech 1 to join our dynamic Fairfield, NJ laboratory team. This is your opportunity to collaborate with industry experts, learn on the job, and contribute to important environmental projects!

• Collect, test, process, and maintain field/environmental samples (mostly water samples at this site) following established policies and best practices.
• Prepare for daily fieldwork by organizing vehicles, supplies, and safety equipment.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, results, and essential materials throughout the workday.
• Accurately complete forms, documents, and database entries to ensure proper sample tracking and reporting.
• Communicate and collaborate with customers, staff, and management to resolve issues and support project needs.
• Participate in team-based projects and contribute ideas to improve operations and customer service.
• Help ensure full compliance with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations-your attention to detail matters!

Location: Fairfield, NJ Lab -- ideally looking for someone to cover our Sussex County areas

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (hours may vary based on customer needs)

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a lab or environmental setting is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate!
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record-this role involves driving company vehicles.

• Basic understanding of environmental/field practices or a strong desire to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service mindset and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new applications.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in day-to-day tasks.
