As a Security Officer - Education Patrol - Full Time in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the campus. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the education environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify anything unusual.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters.
• Remain visible and approachable to assist members of the campus community with questions, directions, and/or concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
